My daily routine

What follows is a short explanation of my daily routine. I keep to it almost religiously because I think if I miss even one day I’ll become lazy and I will stop following it. When I add new things to my routine, I’ll post them here.

I do the following exercises every day – no exceptions!

  1. Streching – from the toes of my legs every joint in my body up to my head. It takes around 10 minutes.
  2. Simple yoga – sun salutations – around 8 minutes.
  3. Push ups – 4 x 1 minute and 15 seconds, between them I do lunges for 2 minutes or squats for 2 minutes, I rotate them every day.
  4. Planks – 5 x 1 minute and 30 seconds, between them I do an exercise that I don’t know the name of but it helps me stretch my back (recommended by my son in law).
  5. During the day I do several times (3-4) of 5-7 pull ups at the entrance to the companionway.

That’s it! I keep it simple!

1500 days and counting!

I started with Spanish on Duolingo several years ago, I think when I was locked in a quarantine in Jamaica. Then, when I finished the Spanish I continued with French. I maintain my Spanish as much as can by watching YouTube videos, listening to podcasts and also reading books.

The mental exercise of learning languages along with my physical exercises have kept me sane and healthy :)!
